Julijska
The astonishing beauty of this region satisfies any romantic idea of an alpine landscape, complete with majestic peaks, deep forested valleys and cascading waterfalls. The region stands out from the rest, thanks to the unprecedentedly beautiful turquoise Soča river, which is regularly described as the most beautiful colored river in Europe. The highest mountain Triglav (2864m) is located in the heart of the region and is located in the Triglav National Park below. Lake Bled is also a pearl in this region.
Karavanško-Kamniška
North of Ljubljana, where the Karawanks and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps embrace each other, there is a special part of Slovenia. Despite the fact that the mountain ranges here can look deeply into each other's eyes, they both differ in character, size and appearance. This region is popular with lovers of nature, walking, cycling, biking, mountain climbing, skiing, winter walking, trekking and families with children.
Predalpaka
This Slovenian region may not be the most spectacular region in Slovenia. It is the center and connection point to all regions. Predalpaka is rich in many cultural treasures and old towns such as Ljubljana, Kranj, Skofja Loka and Celje. Culture enthusiasts and nature lovers will find what they are looking for in this region. Ljubljana in particular, as the capital, is a place you must visit!
Pohorska
This sunny and friendly region is mainly located in the Pohorje massif. Pohorje is not only a ski resort, but is also known for its magmatic rock, dense primeval forests and immense tranquility. The city of Maribor is a pearl. It is the 2nd largest city in the country. The greatest treasure in this city is the “Stara trta”; the oldest vine in the world, 440 years old.
Panonska
In the far east of Slovenia, where rolling hills and vast plains dominate the landscape, the main attraction is Ptuj. At 400 years old, this is the oldest city in the country. A visit to this lovely, sunny and cozy region guarantees beautiful panoramas, atmospheric hilltop settlements, beautifully shaped vineyards and relaxing thermal baths.
Dinarska
The south of Slovenia is home to the most densely forested region of the country. Dinarska guarantees unspoilt nature, lush forests, romantic rivers and last but not least... few tourists. The landscape is interrupted and bordered by two romantic river valleys, called Dolina Krke (Krka Valley) and Dolina Kolpe (Kolpa Valley). Novo Mesto and Kostanjevici na Krki are the most interesting towns here. There is a lot to discover in this unique, unspoilt and quiet region.
Dinarskokraška
Dinarskokraška is without a doubt Slovenia's most secretive destination. The landscape is characterized by an impressive extraterrestrial landscape and an even more impressive subterranean landscape. The most special underground attractions are the Postonja caves. The Burja (Bora) is in this region and especially in the Vipava Valley, where it originates. The Bora shows itself especially in winter. Due to the collision of all climates, the most beautiful flowers grow here. A place that you must see, feel, smell, experience and admire with your own eyes.
Sredozemska
The Slovenian coast is a special part of the Adriatic coast, the length of which is only 46 km. The diverse landscape is interspersed with vineyards and olive groves, fragrant vegetation, charming villages and the clear blue Adriatic Sea. The main settlements are Piran, Koper, Portoroz
