At Campingnavigator we have been collecting camping information since 1983. We have been doing this for years with a pleasant group of varied consultants. They not only pass by all those campsites, but also in and through their favorite countries and regions. And that is clear: every country in Europe has beautiful places to offer, everyone again with its own characteristic features and culture.

From the river deltas and sandy beaches of the Netherlands to the forests and hills of the Ardennes, along the winding rivers in Germany, all the way down through the highest mountains in Austria and Switzerland to the Mediterranean countries. From the pristine lands in the east to the rugged Atlantic coast in the west, islands, lakes, beaches, mountain ranges: if you want you've never left…

Fortunately, all those countries and most regions have their own page on our website with plenty of room for stories and photos to enjoy. And yet… we have created an extra place where we can show the highlights that cross borders. A real page full of the most beautiful places in Europe. Initially based on groups of campsites, which are located in several countries. And also an overview of attractions that are among the coolest, nicest, most beautiful, exciting and finest in Europe.

It is quite a work, so this list is not exhaustive, but always evolving. We can always add more, we start with a small selection. And after that… we will add more and more real hotspots in Europe. Look, then you immediately understand the name: European HotSpots. We have chosen a star as the symbol, just like in the European flag.
