Camping Pivka Jama
is located in southwestern Slovenia, in the Notranjska region. In the middle of a beautiful spruce forest, right next to the open mouth of the Pivka caves. Few campgrounds have their own cave on their property. But Pivka Jama does!
Near the restaurant is a carved staircase that leads to the pristine Pivka cave. The cave can be visited with a guide. The campsite is mainly located in the forest. There are also bungalows, the campsite can accommodate at least 700 guests.
Immerse yourself in nature and culture
The campsite is a great starting point for excursions in the nearby as well as the more distant surroundings. You can immerse yourself in the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region. The Postonja caves, the pearl of the Karst world, are in the immediate vicinity (3.5 km). But from here you can also spend a day trip to the Adriatic coast or to the capital Ljubljana .
The campsite offers a lot of recreational fun such as: tennis, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, bowling, bicycle rental, an outdoor pool (only open in high season), fishing, hiking, caving and numerous excursion options.
Plumbing down a flight of stairs is comfortable. There are also washing machines. There is a good restaurant on the camping site. There is a small shop where one can buy only the bare essentials: bread, butter and so on.
