MoselCamping Bernkastel
Friendly and attractive family campsite on the Middle Moselle in a fantastic vineyard environment
Come camp at this lovely campsite in the idyllic town of Wehlen, located directly on the bank promenade/cycle path along the Moselle. Take a walk along the shore in the evening and admire the beautiful winegrowers' houses. Enjoy a glass of wine in one of the typical wine bars. That's a holiday.
The camping
MoselCamping Bernkastel has sunny, well-kept pitches in different sizes and (partially) shady pitches under old oak and walnut trees. Due to the terraced layout, the view from all pitches of the 'Wehlener Sonnenuhr' and 'Graacher Himmelreich' vineyards along the Moselle is beautiful. The campsite is not at risk of flooding during high water. There are some natural wooden accommodations for rent. The campsite has a small swimming pool and a modern toilet block with spacious showers.
The surroundings of MoselCamping Bernkastel
Explore one of the most beautiful holiday regions in Germany on foot, by bike, by boat or borrow the small Fiat 500 convertible from Sabine & Reimund Ehmke for a tour to Trier, Koblenz, Beilstein, Saarburg or Eltz Castle.
Cycling enthusiasts can burn off their energy by cycling along the Moselle on the Moselradweg, a well-known cycling route that starts in France and goes via Luxembourg to Germany and ends in Koblenz. The Moselle area is a true paradise for anglers. Fishing is possible in many places on the Moselle.
A day out
Chocolate or cake lovers should definitely visit Cafe Konditorei Hansen on the Market Square in the nearby historic center of the medieval town of Bernkastel-Kues with its many half-timbered houses.
Take a boat trip on the Moselle and visit the ancient Roman city of Trier with the legendary Porta Nigra. Veldenz Castle and Eltz Castle are interesting. Take the tour and go back to the time of the knights.
Don't forget the impressive Geierlay suspension bridge, one of the longest pedestrian bridges in Germany. If you are not afraid of heights, then this bridge is a must.
Holiday on the Moselle is a real experience, we wish you a lot of fun...
