Camping Vendrell Platja in Catalonia is a pleasant and beautiful campsite near the sea on the Costa Dorada between Comaruga and Calafell. Both places are on walking / cycling distance. The spacious main street of the campsite is attractively flanked with palm trees that also give the rest of the camping together with other trees a tropical atmosphere and (half) shade. The bathroom is fine and clean. The supermarket, the doctor's post, the bar, the restaurant everything looks good, just like the terrace at the swimming pools with wide slides. In the high season there is entertainment every day on the terrace by the pool for all ages. This is less in the early and late season. The restaurant is simple. Meals can also be collected. The staff is friendly. New mini club and two small playgrounds. Only cross the street from the campsite and you are already on the boulevard. The sea is gradually declining so that children can play safely on the beautiful beach. There is a beach shower and a first aid post. A disadvantage is that in low season the boulevard at the campsite is rather empty. It is advisable to bring or rent bicycles to look for some fun in eg. Comaruga or Calafel with nice shopping streets. There is also a nice "cycle path" inland from nearby Sant Salvador to the village of El Vendrell. Of course you can also walk. The boulevard is endless with many kilometers left or right. The bus stops at the door and there is a train station at 1 km. In general, this site is rated very well by Dutch people. Vendrell Platja is a campsite for a longer stay.
