Camping Playa Montroig Resort is a very luxurious campsite in Catalonia on the Costa Dorada. The campsite has many beautiful (grass) pitches right on the lovely beach. A bit behind you are also fine with partial sea views. There is a clear and safe exit on the N-340 to the campsite which is signposted with large signs. There are 1200 places, but Playa Montroig Resort is not massively over. The palms and other trees at Camping Playa Montroig Resort provide a nice balance between sun and shade. This together with the pools in tropical atmosphere, one of which is heated, the tasteful restaurants & (cocktail) bars and all other facilities and activities makes the campsite a good choice for the whole family. The swimming pool is open all season. On the terraces of the restaurants is a good (free) WIFI connection. As on almost the entire Costa Dorada, there is excellent fishing on the beach in front of the campsite. The results are variable. The water sports facilities are located on the beach near the dry riverbed. You can launch a boat there. In addition, there is a surf school in high season and diving lessons are given. There is animation throughout the season. In the high season this is further extended and every age is thought. A number of sports fields are on the other side of the N340 and can be reached via a tunnel. Hiking possibilities around the campsite are limited to the beach. The tennis courts and the cheapest camping pitches together with the reception are located in the section between the track and the road. That sounds bad, but it is certainly not too bad! The sounds of the (single) track and the N340 do not or hardly cause nuisance. Longer discounts are possible for longer stays. (Early) pensioners from the age of 60 can even receive a 50% discount after showing a pass. Caravan storage in winter possible. A great campsite for a longer stay on the Costa Dorada.
