At the Velenje campsite you can immerse yourself in the lake; underground in the mine and in a relatively unknown region that is worth immersing yourself in. You have to see this!

In the beautiful Šaleška Valley there is a campsite that impresses at first sight. Camping Velenje is located on the large Lake Velenje, where you can enjoy all kinds of activities on and around the water in the warm months. Every year something new is added to this beautifully situated campsite on the lake.

The beautiful sanitary facilities and reception. The terrace, where you can enjoy small meals and snacks, was the first to have a makeover. However, this season it has been transformed into a great restaurant, where you can enjoy a full meal.

In summer there is a pleasant bustle on the water. You can go here for all kinds of water sports activities. The campsite also rents out water sports equipment.

Comfortable accommodations
You can choose whether you come with a tent, caravan or camper. Or you can rent one of the luxurious glamping tents or mobile homes. You are very welcome at Camp Velenje from the end of April to the end of October.

Out and about?
Don't feel like being in or near the water for a day? No problem. There are plenty of opportunities to go out. Go for an underground adventure. The coal mining museum takes you 160 meters underground by elevator. In the underground tunnels you can see in an hour and a half how the miners used to work.

Castles route around Velenje
On the Pozoj castle route you will be introduced to five attractions: four castles, namely Velenje, Salek, Ekenstajn and Turn and the region of the submerged village.

The modern city of Velenje
Get to know the youngest Slovenian city and its modern architecture. Velenje is located between the green hills of the Salek valley with the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the Pohorje mountains. In fact, Velenje is embraced by nature on all sides. It is less than an hour's drive to Slovenia's three largest cities, (Ljubljana, Maribor and Celje).

Although Velenje is the fifth largest city in Slovenia, it is still relatively unknown to tourists, both domestic and foreign. Time to take a look.
