If you are on your way from Leiden to Katwijk or Noordwijk and from the cozy, but busier main road through Rijnsburg take a few side roads to visit Koningshof, the campsite will come across as an oasis: suddenly you will enter a very green and quiet surroundings. At the campsite you will see a lot of varied vegetation through shrubs and trees, with both leafy and sunny spots. You can choose a place that suits you. With lots of privacy, for example in a comfort place surrounded by hedges and trees, or on a larger field with plenty of space and in the company of other campers. The campsite has been designed in such a way that rest is assured. The people of Koningshof know what campers want! The campsite is very complete. Everywhere electricity, wireless internet and cable TV. The showers are free. Sanitary is adapted to wheelchair users and there is a supermarket. Fresh bread is guaranteed, but other foods are also available! Koningshof also has a snack-café and a restaurant for camping guests who, for a change, want to strengthen the inner man in a different environment than at home. Koningshof lives up to its name as a recreation park with both an indoor and (heated!) Outdoor pool. But also with a children's pool including a toddler's section with extra play options. There are play areas for the children and there is a tennis court. There are fitness equipment at the fishpond. Koningshof also offers rental accommodations, such as chalets, mobile homes from 2 to 5 people. During the season, during the school holidays there are recreation programs for families and children that are provided by a specialized team. The wonderfully wide North Sea beach at Katwijk is about five kilometers from the campsite. The area offers many opportunities for cycling and hiking. In the first place over the beach and through the dunes, but this part of South Holland also has many good cycle paths and car-free roads. On less sunny days, many trips are possible in the area. Not only to cities such as Leiden (lively city center, many outdoor cafés, canal kingdoms, museums) or The Hague (shopping and Madurodam), but there are also many other possibilities. Just think of the annual (August) flower parade in Katwijk / Rijnsburg or the weekly tourist market in Katwijk. Maybe you want to please the kids with Duinrell (Wassenaar).
