Hätteboda Vildmarkscamping is a special campsite in 80 hectares of forested area bordered by a wildly vegetated coastline of the Åsnen lake. Peace, silence, secluded, surrounded by miles of forests, to the clear, clear spring lake Mien, lies Sweden's southernmost site, Hätteboda Vildmarkscamping. What is so special about this campsite. You will not find a luxurious toilet block here, with flush toilets, hot showers, washing machines and dryers. You will find an old-fashioned box here, with a heart in the door. The sweden call this an "Utedass". You will not find a shower here, but a water-filled black bag that has been warmed up in the sun. This is hoisted (by yourself) in a specially equipped room and your shower is ready for use. After use, you are expected to fill the bag and place it in the sun for the next user. There are some places where you can cook on a simple gas stove in the open air. Camping at Hätteboda Vildmarkscamping is camping like camping was once intended. Simple, without fuss, but living outside with and in nature. That there is a need for this type of camping site can be seen from the number of visitors at the campsite.
