Tarland by Deeside Camping & Caravanning Club Site
Kleine goed onderhouden camping op 50 km van Aberdeen, gelegen in een landelijke omgeving met gemarkeerde wandelroutes.
Small well maintained camp site 50 km from Aberdeen, situated in a rural area with marked hiking trails. Camping Tarland is very rural in the basin of the River Dee. Queen Victoria chose this beautiful area in 1850 to found a summer residence, Balmoral Castle, which is still a favorite place for the royal family. The castle and gardens are partially open to the public. The river Dee is also known as a good "salmon" river. To the town of Tarland you walk in 5 minutes. Besides some shops and a few restaurants you will find a golf course where non-members are also welcome. In Aboyne at 10 km there is a swimming pool and the month of July is the festival month. Highland games are held there in August. There is a limited bus connection with the "granite city" Aberdeen (about 50 km) with a stop at 1 km from the campsite. On one of the 52 tourist pitches you can count on a quiet and pleasant stay.
