Camping Forte Do Cavalo is located on the hillside of Forte do Cavalo in the municipality of Sesimbra. From the harbor a narrow steep road goes up to the campsite (is easy to do). The bathroom is good, the view is beautiful. Sesimbra, a bustling port city with lots of tourists is at your feet. There is a beautiful sandy beach and scuba diving is also done locally. 3km north-west of Sesimbra is the Castelo de Sesimbra that was conquered in 1165 on the Moors. The castle has been restored. In the center there are many fish restaurants and nice shops and along the beach there is a boulevard.
