Between the large lakes Lough Mask and Lough Corrib (coming out in the ocean at Galway) lies the well-cared for Cong Caravan & Camping Park. The camp site is located on a slightly sloping hill and offers sufficiently flat pitches on grass and some on a paved surface. In addition to the well-maintained sanitary facilities, there is an extensive hiker's kitchen, which guests can also use at the Youth Hostel. Near the Cong Camping & Caravan Park you can fish, rent boats, or take a cruise on Lough Corrib. The town of Cong with shops, pubs, etc. is also within walking distance. The campsite is a good base for tours through the Connemara.
