The site has been in the possession of the Martin family since 1837, which lived for a long time from fishing, farming and the restaurant on the Elbsee. The campsite, which has existed since 1956, is now one of the most beautiful in the region. This five-star campsite is located in the Allgäuer Voralpenland in Bavaria, in a protected nature area between fields and forests, directly on the banks of the Elbsee lake. Campingplatz Elbsee is predominantly terraced and with trees, trees and hedges nature-like landscaped. At Campingplatz Elbsee people attach great importance to the preservation of the unique Allgäu landscape. The campsite has introduced environmental management as one of the first campsites in Bavaria. Facilities, recreation and the environment guarantee a relaxing holiday full of experiences for young and old, young and old. During the holiday periods you will find a lively entertainment program with pony rides, search for buntings, bird singing walk, painting, crafts, herb walks and much more. Think about your fishing permit! Cycling and hiking trails: Welcome to the cycling and hiking paradise, with a road network of several hundred kilometers through the Allgäuer Voralpenland. With a constant view of the Alps you drive on mostly flat paths. Highly recommended for families with children. Wellness: In the wellness center you can use a sauna, a steam bath, a haman bath, sand baths, hay baths, massages, yoga and treatments with a beautician. Holiday: You can also rent two fully equipped holiday homes at this holiday paradise. Both consist of a bedroom, living room / bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. You can use all the facilities of the campsite. Hotel rooms: Enjoy the spacious and stylish double rooms and suites, both with breakfast and self catering. All rooms are very comfortable and easy to reach with the lift. Cafe Restaurant: Restaurant Elbsee with its picturesque terrace and the cozy beer garden on the lake. There is a special children's menu for our younger guests. Sanitary: The two sanitary buildings have been extensively furnished. For that reason you will find artifacts, glass art and paintings everywhere on this campsite. The owner, Christa Martin, is herself a painter. During her work she flees daily life and dives into the world of art ... During your stay you can visit a painting course (watercolor or acrylic). Culture: The Allgäu has a landscape with a flourishing culture. Worldwide famous buildings, unique parties and events await your visit: -The "Königsschlösser" of the fairy-tale king Ludwig the Second, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are world-famous. -The Wieskirche in Steingaden has been declared a world cultural heritage by UNESCO and is considered one of the most beautiful Rokoko churches in southern Germany. -The "Tänzelfest" in Kaufbeuren, where every year in July around 1600 children in original historical robes re-enact the history of their city. Cheese: The Allgäu is cheese country number 1 in Bavaria. In a neighboring village is a typical cheese factory. Here you can taste and buy specialties from the Allgäu. If there are enough participants, a guided tour with tasting is organized.
