Camping and Recreation Park Monte Kaolino in Hirschau is a special campsite because it is a unique park. The campsite and the park are open all year. The campsite is located 16 kilometers from the A6 from Nuremberg to Amberg, exit 65. Monte Kaolino is a beautiful recreation park, especially for sports enthusiasts, much has recently been renewed and improved. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with heated water and a large, open slide. The paddling pool is no deeper than 50 cm, so safe, equipped with a rudder wheel and sail, as if it were a boat. An adventurous sight. There is a kind of beach around the pool of dune sand, complete with beach chairs and umbrellas. On summer days you really feel like a (sub) tropical beach! At the excellently equipped bath with good changing rooms you will find a cozy restaurant with friendly priced menu, with a higher lying terrace. From that place you can enjoy a snack or drink and at the same time keep your kids in sight! In and around the restaurant there is a hotspot, so that you can use your own laptop wirelessly on the internet. Children can also indulge themselves: large sandboxes with water systems and an adventure playground with cabins on meters high poles. There is also a summer toboggan run. One has a beautiful (summer!) Ski slope, complete with real ski lift: the Monte Kaolino. The campsite takes its name from this huge ski slope: the highest artificial sand mountain in Europe. The course is 130 meters high, with sand on which you can sand, ski board and sled. If you want in swimsuit or bikini! The entrance fees are friendly! There is also an indoor play area, a skate track and in the vicinity of the park a climbing garden from an external organization. There you will feel like a mountaineer. You will be equipped as such and there is, among other things, a rope bridge of no less than 90 meters! Admission age: 17 years or older. In the school holidays the campsite offers sports and games and entertainment for children in the various age groups. The large campsite is partly terraced and is mainly occupied by tourist campers. Most places are mostly sunny, but there are also shadow areas. There are also paved places that are suitable for campers or caravanners who want to choose. The bathroom is of an excellent level and well maintained; the sanitary buildings are heated. The campsite has an afternoon rest from 13.00 to 15.00. The site is becoming increasingly popular with Dutch guests, not least because of the beautiful and sporting offer. Although the site is 15 km from the autobahn, it is worth staying for a few days even if you are on your way to another final destination. The surroundings of Camping Monte Kaolino offer ample opportunities for walking and cycling. Trips are possible to nearby Hirschau, half an hour's walk or 5 minutes by car. The area also offers plenty of opportunities for excursions.
