Camping De Savel ligt aan het Lac de Monteynard, een trekpleister voor watersporters. De omgeving is een prachtig wandelgebied.
The Savel campsite in Mayres-Savel is located on the Lac de Monteynard, an artificial lake of more than 20 km in length, where various water sports can be practiced. The site is fairly remote from other places, especially with regard to driving distances. The area is very attractive for hikers and sporty cyclists. At 3 km from the campsite there is a long walkway over the lake, a so-called Passerelle Himalayenne. In the weekends and holidays it is crowded at the campsite, the day recreation area is right next to it and recreationists use the terrace on the campsite, among other things. A must for especially water sports enthusiasts (many surfers), peace seekers are more dependent on the early and late season.
