Camping du Nizour is a beautiful family campsite with 43 pitches on one side of the site and 11 rental accommodations on the other. The campsite has a park-like appearance with beautiful trees that offer plenty of shade. The plumbing looks well cared for and is fully adapted to the latest requirements that will be set to campsites in France as of 2012. The pool will be completely renewed and will be ready before the summer of 2011. There is sports and games (including tennis and free archery once a week), a short walk through a park is the river Charente, where one can canoe. Boats can be rented at the campsite. On the river is a rental company of boats (cruisers) with which one can make multi-day trips. The campsite is located about 10 km southwest of the city of Angoulême, known for its annual international comic festival. The city of Cognac with its famous cognac houses is about 35 km away. The area is suitable for cycling, walking and sailing.
