Traditional camping
Upon entering Le Garanel campsite you will be welcomed by the very friendly young couple. They have been the proud owners of this nice former municipal campsite since 2023. The campsite exudes the atmosphere of a traditional campsite. Good and clean sanitary facilities, a nice swimming pool and a nice playground for the children.

Camping Garanel has 60 shaded and sunny pitches and 8 Lodge Safari tents for rental.

Sommières city center
Walk from the campsite in 5 minutes to the city center with shops, restaurants and cinema and walk along the banks of the Vidourle River in the shade of the hundred-year-old plane trees. Sommières, with its medieval past, is listed as a "petite cité de caractère" (small town with character). Every Saturday there is a flea market on the esplanade and a market in the center. Next to the Garanel campsite is the old arena where training is given by the bullfighting school and in the summer there are shows and toro pools.

Sights in the area
Le Garanel is an ideal base for visiting the region's main tourist sites. Le Pic St Loup, Le Pont du Gard, the fortified town of Aigues-Mortes and the Duchy of Uzès. Located between Nîmes and Montpellier, on the road to Grau du Roi, at the gateway to the Camargue, which leads to the beautiful beach of Espiguette. At the crossroads of Saintes-Maries de la Mer, Anduze, the Bamboo Forest, the Cirque de Navacelles, St Guilhem le Désert.
