In 2001, trees were planted for the millennium, which have grown considerably in the meantime. The site is located along the Kennet and Avon Canal in the middle of prehistoric settlements. By bus you can go to the nice market town of Devizes. You can also reach the town on foot by following the towpath along the canal where you pass 29 locks. Nearby is Bowood House and Gardens with an adventure playground for children. One can also visit Longleat, one of the best examples of Elizabethan architecture with a landscape park of more than 200 ha. Near Avebury is a prehistoric stone circle with Henge.
