Holmsley Caravan & Camping Site
De camping ligt midden in de New Forest en is een prima uitvalsbasis om dit bijzonder mooie natuurgebied te ontdekken en verkennen.
Holmsley Caravan & Camping Site is located partly on an old airfield from the Second World War. With your caravan you may be on the old airstrip. The campsite is large and has 3 toilet blocks. The number of places with electricity is limited (120 places). You can choose your place for camping yourself, so on grass under the trees or on the runway? The choice is yours. This well maintained site is in the New Forest. The New Forest is a 375 km2 forest and heathland landscape that was appointed as a royal hunting ground in 1080 by William the Conqueror. Today you still find large and old trees in this forest. A beautiful area for walking, cycling or exploring by car. You encounter large animals such as horses, heck cattle, cattle, donkeys and deer. It may therefore happen that the through road is obstructed by these animals. From the campsite, trips to Salisbury, with its 13th-century cathedral and the seaside town of Bournemouth, are easy to do. Lyndhurst is a cozy place with nice shops. The car and motorcycle museum in Beaulieu is a day out for yourself and the children.
