Camping in Yorkshire at Camping Weir Caravan Park. The campsite is located on the picturesque River Derwent on the edge of Stamford Bridge. A beautifully situated Yorkshire village where a battle took place in 1066. From here the coast, the Moors and the Dales are easy to reach. Because the campsite is located on the river you can fish there and you can moor with the boat. York is easily accessible via P + R. Worth a visit are the Merchant Adventurers Hall, the Shambles and Stonegate, Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum and a boat trip on the River Ouse. Wensleydale, Wharfedale and Coverdale are within easy reach as are the Moors with Pickering, Helmsley and many Abbeys and museums. The coast and Bridlington are easily accessible by car from the campsite.
