Gelderland kent verder voor kampeerders een aantal aantrekkelijke gebieden. De Betuwe, de Veluwe en de Achterhoek zijn bekende plekken voor de kampeerder die echt weer even tot rust wil komen tijdens de kampeervakantie op de campings in Gelderland. In deze gebieden kun je rondom de campings heerlijk wandelen en fietsen. Er zijn al veel routes uitgestippeld. De laatste bewoner uit de Koninklijke familie van Paleis het Loo is prinses Margriet. Tegenwoordig doet het paleis dienst als Nationaal Museum. Hiermee krijg je een mooi inkijkje in het leven van een vorst. Het Nationaal Bevrijdingsmuseum uit Groesbeek geeft weer een inkijkje in de periode in Nederland na de bevrijding na de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Meer historie vind je in het zeventiende eeuwse kasteel Slangenburg. Het kasteel doet nu dienst als gasthuis van de Benedictijner Abdij St. Willebrord, maar grote delen zijn toegankelijk voor het publiek.Een ander leuk uitstapje rond de campings in Gelderland zijn een rondje langs de molens in Doetinchem. De Walmolen, de Benninkmolen en de Aurora zijn zelfs nog actief. De Burgers Zoo in Arnhem is vanaf 1913 echter uitgegroeid tot één van de meest populaire attracties en een volwaardige dierentuin.
