Many campsites in the Vendée are located on the Atlantic Ocean, which means, among other things: wonderful beaches and dunes, forests, cycle paths and incredibly tasty fish food. The fish is freshly prepared here every day at the fish auction. Blessed with many hours of sunshine, the Vendée is associated with wonderful relaxation, leisure and discovery. The seaside resorts and long sandy beaches along the Atlantic coast are a real pleasure for lovers of the farniente or water sports. But also the islands with their untouched heritage. The marais poitevin, ideal for boat trips, the architectural gems and the famous theme park le Puy du Fou, make this department a popular attraction.

Island of le d'Yeu

The island of île d'Yeu is close to the campsites in the Vendée. This is a beautiful island with an area of 23 km2. From the small town of Fromentine the ferry sails to the island. It is also possible to take your car with you on the ferry. The 10 km long and 4 km wide island is very popular with tourists. Most tourists go there for walking or cycling.
