On the border of Italy, the granite massif of the Bernina rises above 4,000 meters. Here you camp in a world of eternal snow and ice.

Train rides across the Alps

A train runs into the Val Bernina and over the Bernina Pass to Val Poschiavo, where you have a beautiful view of the Bernina Group. It is also a worth seeing transition from the snow-glacial world to the warm Val Poschiavo with its lush vegetation. A lot of wine is also grown here. In short, a real experience during the camping holiday. Above Davos in Graubunden, the Alpinum Schatzalp has been a visit for more than a century and is very worthwhile. Graubünden also has a number of pleasant herb gardens. Including Zermatt in Valais and Pontresina. With the Rhatische Bahn RHB, one of the most famous narrow-gauge railways in the world, you drive on breathtaking routes over dizzying viaducts, through tunnels and on the fantastic Albula route. Or take the highest pass crossing by train in the Alps over the Bernina Pass to Valposchiavo. With the Bernina Express from Chur you can travel through the Albula valley to the Upper Engadine up [2253m], then to Bernina-hospiz and down to Tirano [429m]. You travel through climatic extremes and this express line connects no less than three different cultures. And very handy to know, with the GraubundenFerienpass you can benefit from various discounts.
