Camping El Escorial is a large campsite a few km. outside San Lorenzo de El Escorial, and at a km. or 4 of the AP6. The campsite is very complete in terms of facilities of all kinds: shop, bar, restaurant, cafeteria, discotheque, swimming pools, sports grounds, entertainment programs, etc. There are bungalows for rent. Nearby you will find the Philips II (El Escorial) country house, the Valle de los Caídos (the pompous monument to the Falangist cases in the Spanish Civil War). Madrid is easily accessible by car and public transport. Segovia and Avila are within a reasonable distance.
