The camping pitches of Crossburn Caravan Park are situated on a level grassy area with high and low plantings. The front part of the park consists mainly of hardened places, while the grass pitches are mainly in the back. A row of mobile homes and plants separates the park from the site, where the owner of the park (caravan dealer) has parked his caravans for sale. The Eddleston Water flows along the rustic camping grounds, where you can fish. The center of the town of Peebles is 1.5 km from the campsite. In Peebles is a golf course and Cardrona (at 7 km) also has a golf course. There are many historic buildings in the area.
