Hordaland staat bekend vanwege zijn mooie fjorden en vele watervallen zoals de Vøringsfossen die met een hoogte van maar liefst 182m., het is daarmee 1 van de hoogste watervallen van Europa is. En de Steindalsfossen waar je achter langs kunt lopen.De fjorden lopen heel diep het binnenland in. Zo diep zelfs dat er geen enkele plaats verder dan 50km. van een fjord ligt. Het meest toeristische fjord is het Hardangerfjord met een lengte van 179km. Aan dit fjord liggen dan ook de meeste campings. Daarnaast liggen er een aantal campings bij de stad Bergen en in het Roldal in het zuiden van Hørdaland.
Folgefonnagletsjer
Iets ten noordwesten van het gezellige plaatsje Odda ligt de Folgefonnagletsjer, de 6e grootste gletsjer in Noorwegen. Dit gebied trekt dan ook veel natuur liefhebbers en wandelaars. Daarnaast trekt het stadje Voss – in het noordoosten van Hordaland in de winter veel wintersporters en in de zomer veel watersporters en parachutespringers.
