The Shanaheever Campsite & Caravan Park is located near the pleasant village of Clifden in the west of the Connemara. The trip alone is an experience. The campsite is beautifully sheltered with bushes and flowers lined with fields, but also with beautiful views. The plumbing is well taken care of. In the small shop, hot bread rolls, coffee and the like are available in July and August. There is a simple hiker's kitchen (no cooker). At about 2 km. from the campsite is the lively place Clifden with many shops, pubs etc. Walkers and sportive cyclists can indulge in the environment. Routes are available on the campsite. There are also various fishing possibilities.
