Camping Variko Beach is close to the exit of the motorway and is therefore perfectly suited as a transit camp / Quick-stop. The overnight rate is low and in the restaurant you can enjoy a good meal and it is certainly not expensive. There is grilled charcoal in the lively restaurant and there is a large fireplace for cool evenings. Many Greeks are eating. The restaurant and mini market are open all year. The pitches are usually not demarcated. There is also simple but complete rental accommodation. The pool is open from about 15/6 to 15/9 so a refreshing dive is also possible. Unfortunately there is no separate children's section in the pool. A fish rich water runs behind the camp site. If you cross the bridge it is about 500 meters to the beach. WIFI is there v.a. July 2011. The managers, a newly starting young couple, promised to ensure that the sanitary facilities would be clean. In the high season there is life music at the weekend.
