Prinos Camping
Schaduwrijke gemeentecamping op loopafstand van Prinos en de veerdienst naar Kavala.
Prinos Camping is a Municipal campsite and is located in a forest, on a peninsula with ¾ around the beach. The pitches are generally large and have a lot of shade from the too dense forest and are delineated with shrubs. So there is a lot of privacy but also very little sun and wind. A few places, directly on the water, have a sea view. A number of places are extra large and are intended for large tents. The buildings on this site are mostly of gray concrete and that makes it bleak and uninspiring. It all does a bit 'Eastern bloc'. In a number of places there are small playgrounds, mostly in the shade. There is no further animation. In the high season it happens that there are large groups of young campers, it is often noisy. The supermarket is located directly on the beach, on the edge of the campsite with a large and cozy terrace in front of the door, a beach bar with a large number of sunbeds. The supermarket also has the function of "neighborhood supermarket" because it is the only store in the neighborhood. If you come by ferry from Kavala to Prinos, you will find Prinos Camping right next to the port at a distance of 1 km directly on the beach. From the terminal you follow the road to the right (along the coast), then there is after about 500m. a sign towards the campsite. Around the corner of the campsite you will find several tavernas along the charming beaches with the necessary terraces, sunbeds and umbrellas. The village Prinos, within walking distance, has good entertainment and many shops. Do not forget to visit the market on Monday. Prinos Camping is suitable as a transit camp site.
