Camping Ouranoupoli
Unieke plek direct aan het strand, dichtbij een oud havenstadje. Ideaal voor een bezoek aan Mount Athos en de wereldberoemde kloosters.
Camping Ouranoupoli is located on the NW side of the peninsula of Agio Otos (the 3rd finger of Chalkidiki) within walking distance of the nice village of Ouranoupolis. There you can board the boat for a cruise along the famous Mount Athos with a beautiful view of the many monasteries. Especially for this many foreigners come to this campsite every year. That is why the campsite is already open from 1 April and closes at the end of October. The small campsite is located directly on a private sandy beach with beautiful clear water. The pitches are on the small side, generally shady and are all a short distance from the beach. There is a separate lawn with sea view where campers can stand. Everywhere throughout the campsite there are many plants and flowers and they are kept very well. Camping Ouranoupoli has its own boat ramp so the boat can join. You have to pay for the storage of the trailer. Other water sports options such as canoes and water skis are within a short distance. The campsite is quiet, offers no entertainment but has a playground for the children. The restaurant is open from about 1 June and serves fine Greek meals on a large and attractive terrace. There is also a beach bar where you can enjoy the whole day and as long as it stays nice, even until the small hours. You do the daily shopping in the supermarket and in the low season in the village. The plumbing is well maintained. The owner of the campsite, Grigorios Kaimakakis, is particularly proud of his campsite with its own hand-planted planters and a self-built sewage water treatment. Almost all the buildings on the site he has given a nice fresh color and that is very cheerful. He speaks good English. Ask especially for its biologically produced olive oil! Delicious! You can also rent a well-equipped, linked holiday home at Camping Ouranoupoli. Look at the site of the campsite for the possibilities. A nice site in a nice environment, great for a "Greek" holiday.
