Camping Daedalos lies on the west coast of the beautiful island of Thasssos. It is a narrow campsite so that almost all pitches have (partial) sea views. Directly in front of the door there is a sandy beach with partly a wide lawn. This sunbathing area is a modern playground for the little ones. A part of the campsite is fenced with high bushes. Most shade places are meant for tents so that the caravans and campers are mostly in the sun. Maintenance at this campsite should be better. The bar and its terraces are very cozy and invite you to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Most of the buildings on the campsite are cheerfully painted. There is a bicycle rental at the campsite. In the HS. there is a "Greek" evening twice a week and twice a children's afternoon. If you come here in the preseason, do not be surprised that the campsite is not yet ready for receiving guests. They do not take it so closely with the opening period indicated by themselves, and it happens, among other things, that the sanitary facilities are not in order. The environment is flat and perfect for cycling. Walking to the village of Skala Kallirachis with its fishing harbor is a fun outing. If you go the other way then you walk through the olive plantations and you get into the somewhat busier Prinos. Here the ferries arrive from Kavala. On Monday there is a nice market in Prinos and that gives a lot of fun. Worth the visit. Another possibility is a round of Thassos via the coastal road over the island. The entire distance is about 100 km. but you can abbreviate a little. The east side of the island is undoubtedly the most beautiful part with many bays and islands off the coast. Camping Daedalos is suitable as a transit camp site.
