The campsite is located directly on the 31ha Losheimer reservoir next to a vast forest area. Outside the caravan / camper pitches with about three tent pitches for families, groups and young people (300pl). You can swim in the reservoir, there are spacious sunbathing areas, waterslides, boat rentals and you can surf, sail and fish. There are more than 50 events per year around the lake. There are several toilet blocks on the campsite, a café with a terrace and a shop. You can walk around the lake and on the award-winning walking routes. The region also offers a lot of culinary delights. There is also the Öko village of 9 log cabins for up to 75 people. The Recreation Center Stausee is situated in an idyllic spot 330 m above sea level in the middle of the Saar-Hunsrück nature park, in the beautiful low mountain range at the border triangle of Germany, France and Luxembourg. Hiking: Stayed nature, enjoy the scenery, that it is fantastic on the certified premium hiking trails in Losheim am See, pure nature in the hiking area of ??Saarland. The highlight is the "Felsenweg", the walking route of the year 2005 in Germany. All hiking routes have direct connection to the lake or a start or destination point no more than 5 km from the campsite. Bicycles: The beautiful mountain landscape in the immediate vicinity of Recreation Center Losheim am See can be explored well by bike, but there are also occasional slopes in the beautiful low mountain range that can discourage inexperienced cyclists. Railway Museum: Since 1982, the Museums-Eisenbahn-Club of Losheim railway museum has been traveling with steam locomotives on the track of the former Merzig-Büschfelder-Eisenbahn. The route is about 15 km long and leads through one of the most beautiful and varied landscapes of Saarland. The total duration of the outward and return journey is approximately 2 hours.
