Camping Steinerner Beutel is beautifully situated in a valley in beautiful Fränkische Schweiz in the lively town of Waischenfeld. A green campsite on the river Wiesent, with next to it a lovely swimming pool. This pool can be reached via a footbridge over the idyllic river. The camp site has its own Gaststätte with meals from the region. Next to the Gaststätte a kiosk, "Pizza bei Angelo", where you can buy pizzas or enjoy pasta dishes for very friendly prices, directly from an Italian cook. The campsite has a pleasant, varied vegetation: trees, shrubs, large conifers. There are special places for tourist campers, leafy or sunny. Everything on grass, but usually the ground in your place is strengthened. The campsite has functional, clean sanitary facilities. At the Gaststätte a recreation room with pool table, table football and an internet point. The area offers opportunities for cycling (hilly, so for real sports enthusiasts, but also flat), mountaineering. A tens of kilometers long cycle path runs right past the campsite. At 50 meters a supermarket, a tennis court at 200 meters. A special attraction is the Bierwandeling. It takes place every Saturday and passes six breweries. You get a real certificate for that achievement! From the town the municipality takes all sorts of initiatives, with activities in the summer months, such as a romantic excursion to Bamberg, with bus and boat. And children's parties on Sundays. For people who are in transit: the campsite is not far from the A9 at Bayreuth. A special feature: the campsite is extremely interesting for fly fishermen. The Wiesent is one of Europe's best limestone rivers, once praised by the famous fly fisherman Charles Ritche in his book "The best lime rivers in Europe". In June, the Wiesent is an eldorado for fly fishermen over a stretch of no less than 3 kilometers! At the campsite are Dutch fishermen who have been camping here for years to eject a fishing rod.
