Don't expect big trees and lush shrubs here on the Atlantic coast; the site has an open character. Do you smell the sea? Discover the fortifications of Vauban and don't forget your hiking boots. La Gallouette is the ideal destination for hiking enthusiasts. One of the French Hiking Federation's top-rated long-distance hiking trails, the GR223, runs alongside the site. Prefer by bike? The surroundings of the campsite are ideal for cycling and mountain biking trips along the sea and through the breathtaking landscapes.

The demarcated pitches of 80 to 120 m2 offer plenty of privacy. Next to the campsite is an area for motorhomes that is open all year round and has all the facilities for motorhome owners. Prefer a spread bed? That is also possible at camping La Gallouette. Choose a mobile home or one of the chalet types. You can get the basic products in the camping shop. Do not feel like cooking? In high season the snack bar is open and you can pick up burgers, fries and pizzas. Don't forget to order fresh bread for breakfast!

Plenty of water fun! Take a dip in the sea or enjoy the heated swimming pool. First swim a few lengths and then relax on the sun loungers with a book. Meanwhile, the children splash about in the paddling pool. In the summer months, children can enjoy themselves in the kids' club or the playground. For the older youth there are all kinds of sports activities such as football, basketball and volleyball.

Rent an old Citroën Deux Chevaux (ugly duckling) and explore the area. Visit the small picturesque fishing port in Barfleur, the lighthouse of Gatteville at the tip of Barfleur, the bay of Brick, the port of Cherbourg, Port Racine, La Hague…and much more. At low tide you will walk to Tahitou Island. Fun to do with the kids!
