Camping Noidankattila is a camping / marina with on site a restaurant, where there is a lot of visitors from the area. The restaurant has been completely rebuilt and reopened in June 2009. There are 20 moorings for boats in the marina. Fin-outdoor organizes trips to Finland with an adventurous character. The starting point for this is chosen: pure peace and natural space. The campsite has a Dutch speaking Finnish manager and is under Dutch management. Between Savonlinna and Savoranta lies Kerimäki, a small town with nearly six thousand inhabitants. In this place is the largest wooden church in the world. The reason why such a large church is located in such a small town is explained as follows: According to say it was a mistake. The architect had passed on the measurements in feet to the carpenters. These had understood that they were meters. The result of this was that the church became more than 3 times larger and now offers space for 3300 people.
