Camping in Yorkshire at camping Spiers House Caravan & Camping Site. This is a campsite of the Forestry Commission, comparable to the Dutch Staatsbosbeheer. So you can expect that this campsite is located in the middle of the forest and nature. The campsite has been completely renovated and was reopened in May 2008. This is really enjoying nature and the store ensures that you do not have to drive miles for your groceries every time. You are truly in the middle of nature. The camp site is surrounded by forest with signposted hiking and biking trails. On a clear night you get a beautiful view of the stars and during the day there is plenty to see birds and wild animals. On certain days out of season and during the season the Moorsbus stops at the campsite. One can then be transported back and forth to museums and visitors' centers in the North York Moors National Park, but it also offers the possibility to go for a walk somewhere and then walk back to the campsite. From 2010 one can also rent a fully equipped tent or chalet.
