Camping in Yorkshire at camping Scharborough CCC Site. The campsite is located just north of the Victorian seaside resort to which the flat terrain is named. It is the ideal base to explore the many attractions of the Yorkshire coastline with its cliffs and beaches or to enjoy the North York Moors inland. There is a well-stocked shop and a snack bar at the campsite. You can also buy the famous fish and chips on the premises. Nearby is the Highland Farm where you can buy organic meat and locally frozen yogurt and fruit. At about 15 minutes walk you can descend the cliff coast to the beach. Scarborough is 5 km away with two sandy coves separated by the castle promontory. On the north side you will find the Atlantis Water Park and swimming pool, on the south side the harbor and donkeys. The Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary is a 20-minute walk from the campsite. Here one can walk under a Caribbean reef and enter the world of gigantic sea turtles. If you want to do a hiking trip with pack lama, you can do that from Staintondale. If you want to admire the beautiful and extremely strong draft horses, you can do so at Shire Horse Farm with the smugglers' museum. For cyclists there is a pedestrian cycle path from Scarborough to Whitby that runs right past the campsite.
