Welcome to Akebar, a tourist campsite that is amazed at a designated area of ??extraordinary natural beauty on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Lower Wensleydale. Leave the hectic city life behind you, because there is no nightclub and fast food here. One offers a natural environment of peace and tranquility which is emphasized by the more than abundant blessings of nature, history and ancient settlements. At the entrance to the campsite you will find the Friar's Head, a typical Dales pub built of natural stone. As you might expect, there is an excellent bar with, among other things, beer from the pump and a wonderfully burning fireplace on chilly days. On the lawn you can play a game of bowls, croquet or pétanque. You can dine in the walled garden. At the site is a golf course with 18 holes.
