Many places can be visited all year round. Set out from your peaceful green campsite in search of the region's most beautiful sights.

Val Gardena, the valley for active people
This valley with three villages in the Dolomites is known as a hiking area with beautiful views. Surrounded by very high mountains in the heart of Ladin culture. The Ladin people are characterized by their language (Ladin) and ancient culture. Discover the picture-postcard village of Ortisei, at an altitude of 1236 meters. Families follow the PanaRaida themed walk with all kinds of fun activities.

Village Santa Cristina
In this valley Val Gardena you will find the village of Santa Cristina. You can follow a fascinating path here, the 'Sentiero Planetario'. This is a route that allows you to discover the planets. The route is along the Val Gardena railway. This was a 31 km long railway line from Chiusa to Val Gardena. This railway was closed in 1960 and is now partly a footpath.

Village of Sappada
The village of Sappada has typical wooden houses, resting on a stone base. You can do excursions here to discover the lakes of Olbe or the sunrise on Monte Peralba. Village of Bolzano
In the medieval center, stroll along the acardes and visit the archaeological museum with Ötzi, a copper age glacial mummy. Take the funicular from the city center and experience an oasis of tranquility in the Renon plateau in just minutes.

Day trips and activities on and around the Dolomites
The Dolomites are a fantastic destination for active people, nature lovers and campers. From the most beautiful campsites you will find various walking and cycling routes. Those in need of an adrenaline rush go mountain biking. In Hafling you can take a walk on a real South Tyrolean Haflinger pony. Very nice to try.

Viewpoint Sass Pordoi
The panoramic terrace Sass Pordoi is located at an altitude of 2950 meters where the view extends from the Sassolungo to the Sassopiatto and from the Marmolada to the Conca d'Ampezzo. You can reach the point by cable car, from the Pordoi Pass, 12 km from Canazei.

Trauttmansdorff . Castle
Follow in the footsteps of the Austrian Empress Sissi. She came to live in the Trauttmansdorff Castle in the town of Merano in 1870. The castle has beautiful colorful gardens with flowers, herbs and plants. Take the Sissi walking route that leads from the castle through eleven sights to the center of Merano. Taste the local delicacies in the Schlossgarten restaurant.

Nature
Fans of vistas can enjoy the most majestic peaks of the Dolomites. Tre Cime di Lavaredo is the most famous peak of the region with three iconic rocks. In addition, you can discover the peaks Monte Civetta, Croda de Toni, Croda Fiscalina, Tribulaun, Monte Paterno and the Vajolet towers. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo alone is worth a camping holiday in the Dolomites. Camp on green, small-scale campsites or look for your relaxing holiday on luxury campsites with slides, in the middle of nature.

Mountain peaks Tre Cime di Lavaredo
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo, or Drei Zinnen, are three impressive mountain peaks. You can hike to the mountain peaks from the campsite, but you can also spend an idyllic night in a mountain hut with a view of the mountains. Put on your walking shoes and bring your camera!

More from Misurina
In Veneto, the famous Lake Misurina is the largest natural water basin in Cadore. They call the lake the 'Pearl of Cadore'. Understandable because the crystal clear lake is surrounded by the most famous peaks; the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Cadini, the Sorapiss and the Cristallo.

Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta
Adamello Brenta Natural Park is one of the largest protected natural areas in Italy. This natural park has 620 square kilometers of mountain lakes, mountain landscapes and coniferous forests. It is divided into two parts: Brenta and Adamello. The Brenta is a beautiful mountain range with peaks above 3000 meters and the Adamello has mainly untouched nature. Can you smell the conifers already?

Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park
The Fanes-Sennes-Prags Natural Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The landscapes are overwhelmingly beautiful. The park with steep mountain peaks and rock walls, is 26,000 hectares in size. In this park you will find extraordinarily beautiful lakes; Lago di Braies and Lago di Dobbiaca.

More from Braies
The lakes of the Dolomites are natural wonders and should not be missed! At the foot of the Croda del Becco is Lake Braies (Lago di Braies). A lake with beautiful clear blue water between chalk-white mountains and green forests. Visit the lake early in the morning or at sunset for the best photos!

More from Carezza
Discover the Lake of Carezza (Lago di Carezza) with crystal clear waters. The lake is a lot smaller than Lago di Braies but because of the green surroundings and rock formations a very photogenic place and a bit quieter. What a cool place!

Did you know… ?
…that they eat a lot of 'spätzle' and 'tortelli alle ortiche' in the Dolomites? Spätzle are rustic noodles and tortelli alle ortiche are sickle-shaped ravioli with nettle filling. So turn off the skottelbraai at your nice campsite and taste the local delicacies.

Tips:
Enjoy an original drink in a small house at the top of a tree in the garden, with a breathtaking view of the mountains. This unique experience can be found at the star restaurant 'La Stüa de Michil', in Corvara.
