The guests of Camping De Vijvers can choose from different fields on which different pitches have been realized. The site is therefore divided into different sections with a spacious courtyard. For larger groups, the De Vijvers campsite has a spacious camping meadow. There is also the possibility to stay in the two hikers' cabins, with a kitchenette, which offer all facilities for an overnight stay with four people.
During the holiday months, the association of regular guests (annual pitches) regularly organizes activities on the camping site and in the canteen (karaoke, kid's evenings, card evenings, etc.).
The camping guest can enjoy a game of mini golf in the nearby tavern-brasserie. On the spacious terrace you can enjoy a fresh drink or choose from the extensive menu. Averbode is not only known for its abbey and forests, but also for its delicious ice creams. In the "lekdreef", which starts at the foot of the Norbertine abbey, you can visit the various ice cream vendors as a camping guest for perhaps the tastiest ice creams in Flanders.
For camping De Vijvers, the owners and manager have been in contact with the bicycle junction network that now passes the campsite.
Large cities near the campsite are Leuven, Antwerp and Maastricht.
