These flat cycle routes run along rivers and over old railways that have been converted into cycle paths. The Vennbahn was even named Bicycle Route of the Year. The Belgian Ardennes and hiking go hand in hand. There are hundreds of signposted walking routes for a short or longer walk. The varied landscape cannot be compared with the Netherlands, while you can be in the Ardennes within a few hours. Canoeing and survival
The Ardennes is ideally suited for real survival activities. No climbing wall can compete with that. Climbing and abseiling against the immense rock formations, caving through the caves, mountain biking through the woods and canoeing on rivers such as the Ourthe, the Lesse and the Semois.
