Een kampeervakantie met uw caravan, tent of camper in het mooie Valle d’Aosta is kamperen in een regio van indrukwekkende ruigheid. De campings in Valle d’Aosta zijn goed te bereiken vanuit Frankrijk via de Mont Blanc tunnel of vanuit Zwitserland over de Grote Sint Bernhardpas en tunnel.

Vanaf de campings in Valle d’Aosta kan je tochten maken richting majestueuze bergen, grijze rotsen, loodrechte afgronden en ongerepte valleien. Vanaf de middelhoge bergen wordt het dal bewaakt door tientallen kastelen en burchten. Toerisme is in het Valle d’Aosta de belangrijkste bron van inkomsten.

Flora en fauna

Het ongerepte Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso is een absolute aanrader. De unieke flora en fauna rond de campings in Valle d’Aosta nodigen je in de zomer uit tot bergwandelingen over de vele gemarkeerde paden. Ook is de beklimming van de Gran Sasso voor de gevorderde bergsporter een uitdaging. Boven zie je om je heen de Matterhorn op de Zwitserse grens en de Mont Blanc op de grens met Frankrijk.

Kastelen

Bezoek tijdens de kampeervakantie op een camping in het Valle d’Aosta eens één van de kastelen. Het kasteel van Fénis is een knap staaltje van bouwkunst uit de 14e eeuw. Dit kasteel was een belangrijke militaire post en tevens een toonbeeld van vorstelijke rijkdom en weelde. Het goed behouden interieur is zeker een bezoekje waard.

Het Castello di Issogne valt op door zijn bijzondere decoraties, zoals de smeedijzeren fontein in de vorm van een granaatappelboom. Voor de veeleisende kampeerder is in de omgeving van campings in het Valle d’Aosta genoeg te beleven. Toch is een dagje genieten van het uitzicht in een luie stoel voor uw tent of caravan niet te versmaden.
