Pure ontspanning in de sauna

Een plek om heerlijk te ontspannen en alle stress van je af te laten glijden. De echte originele sauna’s zijn houtgestookte en worden verwarmd tot een temperatuur van zo’n 65graden Celsius. Dat het iets nationaals is, is wel duidelijk als je bedenkt dat er ongeveer 2 miljoen sauna’s staan in Finland. Het is dan ook niet gek dat vrijwel alle campings in Finland er eentje hebben.

Midzomernachtzon

Finland heeft een bijzonder natuurverschijnsel: de midzomernachtzon. In de maanden juni en juli is de zon op zijn sterkst. Hoe noordelijker je reist, hoe langer en hoger de zon blijft schijnen. Bijzonder om mee te maken wanneer je kampeert op een van de Finse campings. In de periode mei tot augustus is het in delen van het uiterste noorden zelfs de hele nacht licht! 

Rust en ruimte in Finland

Wist je dat Finland van alle Europese landen het meest bebost is? In totaal is bijna 70% van het land bedekt met bomen. Daarnaast zijn er een flink aantal nationale parken. Je kunt op verschillende manieren het land ontdekken tijdens een kampeervakantie. Maak een wandeling, vaar met een kano over een van de vele meren, of bindt de lange latten onder en ski op verse sneeuw de berg af.

Bezoek de Kerstman vanaf de campings in Finland

Zoals we allemaal weten, heeft Kerstman een missie. Hij wil geluk brengen over de hele wereld, en wordt daarbij geholpen door zijn vrolijke elfjes en wollige rendieren. Maar stel je voor dat je bij de Kerstman op bezoek zou kunnen gaan, en zijn rendieren van dichtbij kunt bewonderen. Dat kan! Als je heel graag de Kerstman vóór de Kerst wil ontmoeten, dan ben je van harte welkom om langs te komen op het officiële kantoor. Deze staat in Rovaniemi, aan de mysterieuze poolcirkel in Finland. Zeker een aanrader wanneer je op één van de campings in Finland verblijft.

Praktische informatie

Een geldig paspoort of Europese identiteitskaart is nodig wanneer je naar de camping in Finland rijdt. Bestuurders van motorvoertuigen moeten een geldig rijbewijs, een kentekenbewijs en een groene kaart bij zich hebben. Wanneer je met een aanhangwagen of een caravan rijdt, is het verplicht de bijbehorende papieren bij je te hebben. Finland is lid van de EU en heeft de Euro als officiële munteenheid.

Kampeerplaatsen op campings in Finland

Veel Finse campings hebben voor het kamperen met een caravan of camper verharde plaatsen aangelegd. Hiermee wordt duidelijk de structuur aangegeven waar je kunt staan met je kampeermiddel. Over het algemeen zijn het ruime kampeerplaatsen.

Faciliteiten op de campings

Waar de Finnen ook erg consequent in zijn is een compleet aanbod. Je betaalt het basistarief, voor een caravan met twee personen en dat is dan inclusief douchen en warm water. Veelal zijn er ook tijden aangegeven van gratis gebruik van de sauna.

Op elke camping tref je een goede keukenvoorziening. Wanneer je met een tent gaat kamperen dan weet je zeker dat je op elke camping zeker bent van een droge en warme plaats om je eigen potje te koken. Ook heeft elke camping standaard een goede grillplaats waar je in de buitenlucht je eten kunt bereiden.
