Camping Grimbergen
Kleine, rustige camping in schilderachtige omgeving op 12 km van Brussel, waar u goed kunt vertoeven als u op doorreis bent.
For the camping guests, the village of Grimbergen is literally around the corner and a visit to Brussels can be done with approx. 12 km. There is a bus stop 200 meters from the campsite, where a bus stops every hour to the center of Brussels. The bus runs daily with the exception of the Sunday morning. Grimbergen, located to the north-west of Brussels, is a municipality with many picturesque corners. The village square is dominated by the monumental basilica of the Norbertine Abbey with a beautiful baroque interior. The Guldendal, a 17th-century coach house, and two water mills on the Maalbeek can easily be reached from the campsite. These house the Museum for the Older Techniques. In this museum you will discuss the influence of technology on daily life. The exhibitions often focus on different aspects of technology, such as: woodworking, washing and ironing, the evolution of storing and preparing food for the past hundred years, the cultivation of rice in Japan in the 19th century. In the outbuildings of the Norbertine Abbey you can also find a beer museum.
